The project Reflow is implemented in partnership with the Municipality of Cluj-Napoca and aims to understand and transform the urban metabolism through analyzing material flows and co-creating sustainable strategies in industry, policy making and citizen innovation in urban innovation spaces across Europe by co-designing circular regenerative cities. REFLOW is building data visualisation tools to enable continuous monitoring and optimisation of urban metabolic processes and rapid intervention. Interest resides in finding the most viable solutions that can be implemented in this regard.

Transilvania IT Cluster / ARIES Transilvania Contribution
In Cluj – Napoca, Aries Transilvania & Transilvania IT Cluster work with the Cluj – Napoca Municipality and Institutul Național de Cercetare – Dezvoltare pentru Tehnologii Izotopice și Moleculare to define a possible strategy to improve energy efficiency and fast-track the adoption of low carbon tech within Cluj-Napoca’s local context via an online platform that seeks to unite local administrators, communities and energy service providers.
We held workshops where members of our cluster and Cluj-Napoca Municipality were invited to find the best solutions that impact the community we represent. Close to 20 members responded to the invitation of taking part in this workshop. The next objective is to develop a platform that helps citizens and companies increase awareness regarding energy consumption. The innovative platform will enable our members to develop energy efficiency monitoring apps based on the data collected on the platform, that can be tested at local level and later commercialized at European level.
REFLOW is an EU Horizon 2020 funded project (Grant Agreement No. 820937) implemented between June 2019 to May 2022.
